Getting Started
Companion App
Set up the VOOK Audio app and pair your microphone in a few minutes. This guide covers what you need, connecting your mic, naming your device, and recording with AI switched on.
✦ Free on iOS & AndroidOverview
The VOOK Audio app is the free companion app for your VOOK wireless microphone. It connects to your mic over USB-C or Lightning for real-time control while you record, and runs a cloud Enhance engine that cleans up any recording you upload.
Live mic control is free for as long as you own the mic. AI Enhance is metered with credits, and every VOOK mic ships with a free allowance to get you started.
In the app
- Live control over USB — free, and works offline
- AI Enhance in the cloud — clean up any recording
- Outputs & credits — your cleaned files and balance in one place

Requirements
Before you begin, make sure your phone and adapter are supported.
What you need
| iOS | iOS 15 or later |
| Android | Android 10 or later |
| Live control | USB-C OTG (Android), USB-C iPhone, or Lightning adapter |
| Works with | ClipX, AirMic, MiniMic |
Connect Your Mic
Connect the VOOK receiver to your phone using the USB-C or Lightning OTG adapter. The app detects it automatically.
- 1Plug the receiver into your phone with the correct adapter for your device.
- 2Open the VOOK Audio app — it picks up the mic automatically, with no codes or pairing menus.
- 3Wait for the app to confirm the mic is connected.
Name Your Device
Give your mic a recognisable name — ClipX, Studio AirMic, whatever fits — so it is easy to identify in the app. You can change the name at any time from the device screen.
Enable AI & Record
With your mic connected, switch on AI and start recording in whatever app you already use.
- 1Switch on noise reduction in the app.
- 2Hear the Original vs Denoised A/B demo so you know what to expect.
- 3Record in any camera or recording app you already use.
